The Teachers' Dignity Coalition \TDC) will be holding the second part of the National Seminar-Workshop on the Magl"a Cal'"ia for Public School Teachers, Public Sector Unionism and Human Rights Education: A Teachers' Camp on June 24-26, 2017 at Manaoag National 1-:igh School, Division of Pangasinan II. With the theme "Teachers' Rights and Responsibilities fo r Child-Friendly Schools " the seminar aims to deepen the understanding of teachers and school administrators on their rights and responsibilities and their role in promoting hu...-nan right:;. Teacher-leaders, school heads ano other schoo 1 personnel are invi ted to attend this activity. A minimal contribution ofPl, 500.00 shall be charged to each participant to cover cost of food, accommodation, kit, and other in.cidentai expenses. Since the event is themed on a camp, classrooms will be used as biUeting areas, participants are advised to bring additional personal needs (malong, pilbws eLc).

NATIONAL SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON THE MAGNA CARTA FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS, PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONISM, AND HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION: A TEACHERS' SUMMER CAMP

1. The Teachers' Dignity Coalition will hoid the National Seminar-Workshop on the Magna Carta for Public School Teachers, Public Sector Unionism, and Human Rights Education: A Teachers' Sunmm~r Camp with the theme Rights and Responsibilities for Teacher and Child-Friendly Schools from May 25 to 27, 2017 at the Aringay Central Elementary School, DepEd Division of La Union, Aringay, La Union. 2. The Conference aims to deepen the understanding of teachers and administrators on their rights and respons_ibilities and their role in promoting Human Rights Education. It specifically aims to: a. equip the teacher-leaders and school heads with knowledge on Magna Carta for Public School Teachers and the public sector unionism; b. formulate policy recommendations on teachers' organizations; c. facilitate the formation of teachers' organizations in the grassroots; and d. support the Department's mandate to teach human rights and popularize the rights-based approach ;n teaching. 3. The target participants are teacher-leaders, heads of teachers' organizations, and school heads from public schools and sector unionism. 4. The participants from the Departm-2nt of Education are authorized to attend on official business. A registration fee of On e Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (P 1,500.00) shall be charged to each pari.dpant to c:over accommodation, meals, conference kit, and other incidental expenses. 5.
