Nevada State-Mandated Testing All applicants for a Nevada educator license are required to demonstrate knowledge of Nevada School Law, the Nevada Constitution, and the United States Constitution pursuant to NAC 391.030. This requirement may be satisfied either through testing or through college/university coursework. Tests in all three areas are administered by the University of Nevada, Reno, and specific information on test dates and locations is available on their website at http://www.unr.edu/education/academic-programs/law. If you would prefer to satisfy these requirements through the completion of coursework, check with the accredited college or university of your choice to determine which classes satisfy each of these areas. Upon completion of the course(s), you will need to submit an original transcript showing passing grades to the Office of Educator Licensure. If you have taken classes in the past that you believe will satisfy any or all of these areas, submit transcripts showing course completion along with your application and a licensure analyst will evaluate them. An applicant for licensure who has not satisfied all three areas may be issued a non-renewable license containing provisions for any areas which are not complete.
