36th Annual Adobe Day at William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park RED BLUFF, Calif. – California State Parks holds the 36th Annual Adobe Day on Saturday, Oct. 10 at William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park. The theme of this year’s event will be “Rough and Tumble Times”. As visitors cross the “bridge of time” into the park, they will get a glimpse into the 1850s lifestyle and enjoy hands-on activities such as candle making, doll construction, adobe brick making and many other live demonstrations. They can sit back and enjoy the show as dancers demonstrate the Virginia reel. Live music will be presented by the Ide Adobe Players. Refreshments and items from the general store will be available for purchase during the event. Event hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. Entry fee is $5 for adults, $2 for children (17 and under), and children under 4 are free. The event is being hosted by the Ide Adobe Interpretive Association. Proceeds will go to the association to help fund the interpretive programs at the park. Ide Adobe is a historic park that preserves and interprets a rancho that dates to 1852. The park honors William B. Ide, a prominent figure in early California history. It is located on the Sacramento River on Adobe Road off Interstate 5 in Red Bluff.
