Want to make a difference? Join Us. NFPA has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Manager to join Wildfire Division in support of the Firewise Program. The Associate Project Manager must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking skills are utilized in support of division projects, programs, campaigns; and with both internal and external customers and stakeholders. Qualified candidates in both Massachusetts and Colorado are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: • •

Assist with the review, updating, development and auditing of content for electronic and printed resources and assets. Participate in national and international real-time fire monitoring for the division’s situational awareness purposes; develop corresponding daily website updates and coordinate with the association’s social media manager to ensure timely distribution of related information. Collaboratively research and develop interactive Online Learning Center course materials. Collect and track analytics for related programs and division

reporting purposes. Coordinate value-added presentations and workshops for Firewise Program stakeholders. Provide assistance to the Wildfire Division’s Field Reps. Coordinate outreach activities to identified FWC stakeholders (fire departments, emergency management staffs, Fire Safe Councils and others). Assist with annual Firewise/USA community renewals and recognition outreach to participating communities. Write blogs and develop outreach materials for the Firewise program and the Wildfire Division. Staff division and program conference and trade show booths; as needed participate in related activities and develop and deliver presentations. Some travel required. Other duties for the Firewise program and the Division as required.

Bachelor Degree or combination of education and experience in Natural Resources, Fire Safety, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. 3-5 years of experience with increasing responsibility. Proven program management successes. Excellent organizational, public speaking, interpersonal, verbal and written communication and computer skills are mandatory. Knowledge and experience in wildfire issues is preferred.
