respondent – Union of India states, that the appointment of the Director General (Investigation) is pending consideration before the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet.

We consider it just and

appropriate to require the issue to be cleared finally within one week from today. 2.

Insofar as the question of appointment of one Member of

the National Human Rights Commission is concerned, the aforesaid vacancy has remained unfilled since 01.03.2014. Learned Additional Solicitor General assures this Court, that the needful will be done within four weeks from today.

We hope and expect, that the process

of appointment shall be completed within four weeks. 3.
