Executive Engineer

Desired Experience/ Qualification CS, preferably with LLB Degree from a reputed institute and with at least 5 years’ working experience in public limited company preferably government/ semi-government.

BE Civil with 10 – 20 years’ experience in manufacturing industries. The experience in Jute Industry and knowledge of Computer shall be preferred.

Job Description As Company Secretary at the Corporate Office, he will be required a)

To handle all issues relating to Corporate Affairs and Board matters including organisizing Board Meetings, Preparation & Circulation of Agenda, Preparation of Minutes/ Proceedings of Board Meetings and necessary follow-up action. To discharge all statutory functions as Compliance Officer of the Company.

To handle all legal matters of the Company.

d)

To handle all matters relating to Company's estates and landed assets.

e) General Administration of the Corporate Office of NJMC Ltd. As Executive Engineer at the Corporate Office, he will be required a) b) c)

To look after all the Civil/Mechanical works of Mills/Corporate Office To guide the Unit Management during renovation and modernisation of Mills and keep all records in this regard. To prepare Report/Return, verification and clarification of bills, supervision of all civil works.

d) Chief Technical Officer

Graduate/Post Graduate Diploma in Jute or Textile Technology from leading Universities preferably with MBA from reputed institution and with 15 - 20 years' experience, out of which minimum 5 years should be as Head of Works with experience in execution of projects in modernization/ upgradation of Jute Mills.

To assist the Management on all Tender Matters relating to Civil Works and monitor the civil work at the mills as well. As Head of Technical Division at the Corporate Office, CTO will be required a)

To plan and execute proper and economic repairs, renovation, up-gradation and rehabilitation of the plants and machineries of all the jute mills of the NJMC Ltd., to maximize their utilization in order to achieve desired level of productivity for implementation of the revival strategy of the Company. To draw up plans for modernization of the plants and machineries in all the mills of NJMC Ltd. and execution of such plans including selection, procurement, installation and commissioning of new plants and machineries.

To review existing manufacturing practices/ procedures and to introduce best ones followed in the industry.

d)

To standardize all manufacturing procedures in terms of manning and outputs in all the Mills of NJMC Ltd.

e)

To guide the CEOs of the Mills in all technical matters so that the Mills run smoothly with minimum idle-time of machines and maximum capacity utilization.

f)

To explore scope for expansion/product diversification and to draw up viable strategy for the same.

g)

To identify and dispose off old, obsolete plants and machineries which are beyond economic repairs following approved

procedure. h)

To plan, organize and ensure proper civil and electrical maintenance of all the mill premises.

i)

To plan and execute timely procurement & supply of jute and all other materials/ stores/ spares etc. for the Mills.

Position Executive (Materials)

Desired Experience/ Qualification Graduate Engineer (preferably in Mechanical(Engineering) and preferably with PostGraduate Diploma in Material Management. Should have 10-15 years' related experience preferably in PSUs and Govt. Sector with experience in / exposure to Public Procurement Policies/ Procedures.

Job Description As head of Materials Management Section at the Corporate Office, Executive (Materials) will be required a) b)

To handle all matters relating to Materials Management in all the mills of NJMC including procurement of stores, materials, jute and inventory control as per corporate policy. To keep a close co-ordination with mill executives to ensure timely supply of stores/materials/spares etc. required by the mills.

c)

To monitor proper storage, utilization and accounting of stores/materials/spares etc.

d)

To prepare and maintain all related composite report/returns at corporate level.

e) Executive (Finance)

ICWA/CA/CMA with 15 20 years’ experience in the relevant field preferably in Jute Industry. Knowledge of computer is essential.

To survey the market regarding rates of different manufacturers for proper indent and to prepare vendors panel. Should take overall responsibility for financial accounts function including a)

Finalization of accounts, budgetary control, working capital management, cost control, credit control, treasury functions including maintenance of books of accounts, preparation of balance sheet, verification and supervision of all bill payments, all purchase procedures, sales tax/service tax matter, all statutory returns, bank related activities, pay roll, internal/statutory and CAG audit. Shall be responsible for finalization of accounts, budgetary control, working capital management, cost control and treasury function, liaison with banks and financial institutions.

c)

Will look after cost related matter of the Company/Mill, maintenance of the cost records, product costing, cost audit, verification and supervision of all cost centre wise date process, stock valuation, preparation of performance report/ core information.

d)

To prepare all reconciled reports related to production and productivity (spinning & weaving efficiency, labour efficiency, jute utilisation, stores utilisation, power utilisation etc.) and coordinate with internal/statutory, CAG and Cost Auditor.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT 1.

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

2. The engagement is purely temporary in nature and on contract basis for a period of two years. Contractual engagement will automatically come to an end on the expiry of aforesaid period of two years and person will have no right or claim to continue with National Jute Manufactures Corporation (NJMC) beyond the specified terms or seek regular employment. However, the period of contract may be extended at the discretion of the management. 3. The services of the selected candidate are transferable to any Section/ Department, Location, Office, whether existing or which may come up in future, at any time at the sole discretion of Management. In such case, it will be governed by the terms and conditions of the services applicable to new placement/ location. 4. The appointment of selected candidate will be subject to his being medically fit. The candidate will have to submit a medical form to be attached along with the offer letter) duly signed by a qualified registered medical practitioner at the time of joining the Company. Expenses incurred towards the medical tests carried out will not be reimbursed by the Company. 5. Mere conformity to the job requirements will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Management reserves the right to reject the application without assigning any reason. 6. Candidates who have availed of Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) from any Government/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Enterprises / Semi- Govt organisations are not eligible to apply. 7.

Original certificates are to be produced for necessary verification at the time of interview.

8. In case any declaration made, information furnished by the applicant at any time is found to false or untrue, the contractual engagement is liable to be terminated forthwith without any notice or compensation in lieu thereof and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. 9.

NJMC reserves the right to modify/ cancel the notification / the selection process at its discretion.

The decision of Management regarding selection shall be final.

12. The applicant shall, while in the contractual services of the company, not engage in any other commercial/ business pursuit, either part time or otherwise. 13. The applicant shall, while in the contractual services of the company, shall be obliged to follow the work processes, technical standards, protocols and general instructions issued thereof, and service rules of the Company as in force and/ or amended from time to time. 14.

Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be in Kolkata.

15. Candidate should mention in details the name of the institutions studied, year of passing, marks obtained, name of the organisations worked, last salary drawn(with LPC), duration of work, nature of appointment held and expected salary and benefits in their Curriculum Vitae. 16. NJMC will not be responsible for any postal delay/ wrong delivery/ non-delivery of communication at any time of the recruitment process. 17.

Salary package will be at par with industry standard.

18. Candidate shall not have any criminal case pending against him in any Court of Law or shall not have been prosecuted for any offence in last five years. He should submit an affidavit to the effect along with copies of other certificates of his credentials while forwarding his application. SELECTION PROCEDURE 1.

The selection process shall be based on Personal Interview.

2. The eligible short – listed candidates’ based on initial scrutiny will be called for interview. Suitable communications in this regard will be sent to the candidates individually. No TA/DA is applicable for the candidates appearing for the interview. 3.

Individual candidates after selection will have to sign a service contract/agreement with NJMC.
