Applications are invited from male citizens of Odisha possessing educational qualifications and age as prescribed below for recruitment to the post of Enrolled Followers (Safai Wala) in the Indian Coast Guard, an armed force of the union. 4. Nature of duty. Cleaning & maintenance of WCs (Toilets), offices & premises. Posting onboard ships for similar jobs pertaining to hygiene and general maintenance of ships. Anywhere in India (including Andaman & Nicobar Islands).

Minimum Height – 157 cm, Weight – Proportionate to height, 7. Medical standard. Chest – Well proportioned, Minimum expansion -5 cm, Eye sight - 6/18. 8. Pay scale. Pay Band – 1 (5200 – 20200) + Grade Pay 1800 and other allowances as admissible to Central Government employees. 9. Other Benefits. Free ration & clothing for self, Medical facility for self & family including dependent parents. Govt. accommodation or HRA, Canteen and various loan facility. Leave – 45 days earned leave and 8 days casual leave every year with LTC for self, family and dependents as per Central Government rules. Contributory pension scheme and Gratuity on retirement. Enrolled followers shall remain on probation for a period of 2 years 10. Training. which may extend by 1 year. The government may terminate the service of an individual if performance during probationary period found unsatisfactory. 11. Selection procedure. The candidates will have to appear for written test comprising General Awareness & Elementary Mathematics (10th standard level). The test will be of 50 marks (50 questions, multiple choices) and the pass marks will be 50%. The successful candidates will qualify for interview. The finally selected candidates will be medically examined. 12. Date of examination. Last date of submission of application form will be 30 Jan 14. Examination will be conducted in the First Week of Mar 14. (Exact dated will be intimated in call up letter). 13.
