A.J. Brendel Mission Statement At Brendel Elementary our mission is to provide the highest quality education in a safe, caring and challenging community that allows for individual differences and learning styles.
Dear Parents, Thank you for your attendance at Parent Teacher Conferences; we had a great turn-out! This month our character trait focus has been “perseverance.” On the morning announcements, I share specific examples of students persevering. At conferences, several students talked with me about being unhappy with a grade they earned (they totally took responsibility!) and agreed they needed to set a goal, make a plan and persevere to achieve their goal. These conversations are so impressive and important. So as you go over your child’s report card with them, celebrate their successes and growth, and help them own and plan for a goal. Perseverance is what it takes to do the “tough” stuff, and taking on the tough stuff is where we truly grow as learners and good people! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving next week with family and friends. We here at Brendel are grateful for sharing in the responsibility for teaching your children. We are grateful for our supportive Brendel families and the trust you have in us to work together with you to benefit your children! Doris Goetz
