The Exchange shall be releasing new version of NEAT MF (1.1.5). The new versions shall be available from March 13, 2015 at 17:00 hours onwards on NSE EXTRANET path /mfsscommon/NTNEAT/VER115. Members shall be able to login to live session from March 16, 2015 onwards with the following software only – NEAT MF 1.1.4 NEAT MF 1.1.5 Login with the older version i.e. NEAT MF 1.1.4 shall be discontinued w.e.f. April 13, 2015. Important instructions regarding mock session 1. Transactions resulting from this session shall not attract any obligation in terms of funds and/or securities pay-in and/or pay-out. Kindly do not transfer any data files for this session. 2. Kindly participate actively in the mock session from all software and re-login into live environment to check the connectivity and to avoid login problems on Monday, March 16, 2015. 3. Additional features-New password policy w.e.f. March 16, 2015 The following new password policy shall be implemented: 1. The length of password should be of exact 8 characters. 2. The password shall be case sensitive and should contain at least one each of the following characters with no space: a. Uppercase: A to Z b. Lowercase: a to z c. Digit: 0 to 9 d. Non- alphanumeric : Special characters @ # $ % & * / \ 3. User shall be compulsorily required to change password after the lapse of 14 days 4. New password must be different from previous 5 passwords 5. User Id shall be locked after 5 invalid login attempts 6. Reset of password shall set the password to a default password 7. User shall not be allowed to set the default password as new password The new password policy shall be applicable to all users i.e. NEAT MF and NNF with effect from March 16, 2015 after successful completion of mock session. The existing password shall be applicable till the same is reset by the exchange. The new default password shall be Neat@MF1 in the new version (NEAT MF 1.1.5). Annexure – 3 Installation procedure for NEAT MF Version 1.1.5 NEAT MF Version 1.1.5 Members are advised to pick up NEAT Version 1.1.5 (file name: NEATMFTWSSetup.exe), from the NSE extranet (Directory: /mfsscommon/NTNEAT/VER115) after 17:00 hrs on Friday, March 13, 2015. Precautions:
Members are advised to take back up of all report files before upgrading the software. Members are advised to take back up of client registration through “Save” option of client registration module. Members are advised to take back up of DP master through “Save” option of DP master module. Members are advised to take back up of Market watch through export functionality. Do not keep these backup files in NEATMFDB-TWS or NEATMFData-TWS folders.
Installation:
Double click on NEATMFTWSSetup.exe installer file (for the executable, database and data) to launch the setup. Choose the destination drive on the machine (C OR D drive etc).Click the Install button to install the application to the chosen disk. Three folders – NEATMFDB-TWS, NEATMFData-TWS and NEATMFSetup are created.
NEAT-MF can be invoked in 4 ways:
By clicking NEAT-MF TWS shortcut on the desktop. By clicking NEAT-MF TWS shortcut in the Start Menu. By clicking NEAT-MF TWS shortcut in the Start Menu -> Programs ->NEAT-MF TWS. In folder NEATMFDB-TWS and run the executable NEAT-MF.exe.
Updating the version with latest data:
Download following files from NSE Extranet path / mfsscommon/ntneat into
(C :\) in
your local hard disk: 1) mf_security.txt 2) mf_category.txt 3) mf_SIP.txt 4) SCHEME_NAV_ddmmyyyy.txt From the log on screen click on the “UPLOAD” button to update the security, SIP, category and NAV details.

Annexure – 4 Precautions and procedure for reverting to earlier version These instructions are required to be followed to ensure that members are able to revert back to old version of NEAT-MF 1.1.4 Steps to be followed for reverting to old version of NEATMF
Installation files for old version can be taken from path (/mfsscommon/NTNEAT/VER114) on NSE EXTRANET Download the files mfneattdr.bat into (C :\) in your local hard disk, if prompted, choose to overwrite the existing files. Rename the existing NTNSEMF directory Go to MSDOS prompt and Execute command: cd C:\ Type: cmneattdr.bat and press "enter" Set up the NEATMF icon on the Desk top and click on the icon. Place the old mw****.dat (****=user id) file in C: \NTNSEMF\BACKUP directory. Place the old BakSetCharges****.dat(****=user id) file in C:\NTNSEMF\BACKUP directory Download the latest mf_security.txt, mf_category, mf_sip.txt and SCHEME_NAV_ddmmyyyy.txt from NSE EXTRANET path /mfsscommon/NTNEAT on your log on drive (this step is very important to ensure login on Monday, March 16, 2015) From the log on screen click the “UPLOAD” button to update the security, SIP, category and NAV details.
