Master of Science in Nursing Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Keuka College’s Division of Nursing was founded in 1943 at the encouragement of Eleanor Roosevelt. Over the years, Keuka College has solidified its reputation for educating superior nurses who make a difference in the lives of those in their community. Adult/gerontology primary care nurse practitioners serve as the primary health care providers in many settings. Keuka College’s program focuses on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver primary health care to all ages of adults. Upon successfully completing the program, you will be prepared to take the American Nurse Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners national certification examination. The program consists of face-to-face and online instruction, as well as 500 hours of clinical practicum. Several members of Keuka College’s nursing faculty actively practice as nurse practitioners, so not only will you receive an education rooted in theory, but hands-on experience from seasoned professionals. Our next cohort will begin in Fall 2017 at our Keuka Park campus outside of Penn Yan.
