The role of the ‘watchman’ is to set a standard as a warning and a help as the false standards collapse A. Babylon is the counterfeit, or false standard of the Bride B. Babylon is about forced unity that is based on controlling a narrative, self will, and self exaltation to intentionally PRODUCE UNITY:

Genesis 11:1-4 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. (2) And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. (3) Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. (4) And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." C. The bride is the true standard of unity based in desire to serve and honor that is an overflow of the Holy Spirit’s leadership D. At the time Babylon, or harlot unity, fails, the Bride will be shown off as the standard. E. We are getting ready for this moment right now. It is coming VERY soon: Isaiah 21:6-10 For thus has the Lord said to me: "Go, set a watchman, Let him declare what he sees." (7) And he saw a chariot with a pair of horsemen, A chariot of donkeys, and a chariot of camels, And he listened earnestly with great care. (8) Then he cried, "A lion, my Lord! I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime; I have sat at my post every night. (9) And look, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen!" Then he answered and said, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And all the carved images of her gods He has broken to the ground." (10) Oh, my threshing and the grain of my floor! That which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, The God of Israel, I have declared to you. Jeremiah 50:1-3 The word that the LORD spoke against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet. (2) "Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; Proclaim— do not conceal it—Say, 'Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, Her images are broken in pieces.' (3) For out of the north a nation comes up against her, Which shall make her land desolate, And no one shall dwell therein. They shall move, they shall depart, Both man and beast. Revelation 17:15-16 Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. (16) And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. Isaiah 13:1-4 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw. (2) "Lift up a banner on the high mountain, Raise your voice to them; Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. (3) I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger— Those who rejoice in My exaltation." (4) The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle.

The Standard of the Bride: Love Unto Submission and Servanthood = Friends A. Unlike the Harlot, who is attempting to produce what Jesus prayed for, the Bride is obeying Jesus and trusting that the FATHER will produce what Jesus prayed and include her in her obedience, or LOVE:

John 14:15-16 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. (16) And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— B. Setting our hearts to OBEY Jesus unlocks the leadership of the Holy Spirit, which produces unity out of SERVANTS! C. Unity comes from GOD as we make room for the Holy Spirit to lead us into SERVANTHOOD D. The active operation of the gifts of the Spirit are entirely intended to raise up a family/Bride for Jesus. 1 Corinthians 12:1-13 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:… (4) There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. (5) There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. (6) And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. (7) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: (8) for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, (9) to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, (10) to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. (11) But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. (12) For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. (13) For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:14-27 For in fact the body is not one member but many. (15) If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? (16) And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? (17) If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? (18) But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. (19) And if they were all one member, where would the body be? (20) But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. (21) And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." (22) No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. (23) And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, (24) but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, (25) that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. (26) And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. (27) Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. E. Servanthood is the POINT of the prayer room, or watchmen:

Luke 12:35-37 "Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; (36) and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. (37) Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. F. The perfection, or maturing of servanthood, according to Jesus is FRIENDSHIP! John 15:14-15 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. (15) No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. G. David’s Tabernacle was staffed by 24,000 singers, musicians, and gatekeepers. There were 20,000 gatekeepers and 4,000 singers and musicians. H. Getting ready to live with Jesus is learning to value DECREASE instead of INCREASE John 3:29-30 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. (30) He must increase, but I must decrease. III.

Friendship = Confidence (Faith) A. Jesus is trying to teach us how to be CLEAR and UNASHAMED

Genesis 2:24-25 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (25) And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. 

This means practically that I learn to just be myself, let my gift flow out UNIMPEDED BY FALSE STANDARDS, while trying to help others be themselves and let THEIR gifts flow out in FREEDOM. B. Babylon is about trying to appear PROFESSIONAL, which means to emulate a standard or performance:  Professional = characterized by or conforming to the technical or ethical standards of a profession C. The problem with the Babylonian performance standard is that it is UNTRUE  Jesus is the PERFECTION of all we might strive to perform in  The best artists drawing in Jesus’ kingdom is still the equivalent of a 3-yearold sketcher  The best musician ever can hardly play compared to Jesus  The best teacher knows next to nothing compared to Jesus D. Being excellent in performance is not the point of being a Bride, being complete in agreement is! Having the Groom’s same VALUE SYSTEM is the point of getting ready to live with Jesus forever.

THIS is the way we know we are ready for Jesus to come, which is the point of our prayer room: 1 John 4:17-21 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. (18) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. (19) We love Him because He first loved us. (20) If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (21) And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. IV.

Practical Servanthood in the Prayer Room A. We have to be VERY careful about performing in the prayer room/worship sets. Performing in the prayer room can actually KILL the purpose of the prayer room. B. We want to simply do our best to be our unique selves while trying to help others in the prayer room! C. There are some very practical ways to apply this week in and week out!  Worship leaders/worship team musicians:  Understand the different services between leading a prayer set and leading a worship set. A worship set is a service to the congregation and should be easy for everyone to follow. A prayer set is a service to the prayer leaders and prayers and should be a direct response to what the whole room is feeling as expressed in prayer.  Clearly communicate what songs we are singing, and where we are in the song  Pick songs everyone likes to play at tempos that everyone feels engaged in  Sing clearly and plainly so the musicians and congregation can follow along, play clearly, keep prophetic singing and responses limited to clear promptings of the Holy Spirit and generally as responses to specific prayers  Stay with the worship leader and rest of the team as much as possible. When we lose our place, wait attentively until we can jump back in.  Miracles happen in the mundane…always

Acts 2:1-2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. (2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Prayer Leaders/Prayers  Understand the role of prayer leader is to lead the room in vision and encouragement to pray. Prayers should follow the prayer leader whenever possible. Recognize the purpose of the set.  Stay sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is feeling (Holy Spirit, what do you see, feel, what are you saying?)  Be willing to step outside of the norm in order to help engage the room (stop to offer healing prayer when \appropriate, invite others to get vision by leading the room in Holy Spirit invocation)  Pray as a help/service, not only because you feel the Holy Spirit leading you. ASK the Holy Spirit for prayers when they are needed and TAKE RISKS. More will happen.  LEARN the worship leaders and the prayers and GROW IN THE FLOW. Seraphim/elder prayer will begin to happen as we learn to flow in servanthood. D. We want to learn the HEART of the Spirit of Prophecy. E. WE ARE SETTING A CULTURE RIGHT NOW! Luke 6:31-32 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. (32) "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. (2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (3) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. F. If we sow honor, we will get honor, if we sow mercy and help, we will get mercy and help, if we sow service, we will get service, if we sow obedience, we will get obedience, patience, love…etc.
