The Southridge Christmas Post Office is up and running! Trade cards with your SR Family! The money you save is encouraged to be donated to the LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS
Are we there yet? More than 6,400 unreached people groups would say no. But there is promising news – for the first time in history, researchers can identify the people groups that remain untouched by the Gospel. What does this mean? We could conceivably reach the rest of the world in our lifetime! Yet, because offering receipts are down, Southern Baptists haven’t been able to send as many people as God’s calling out. Let’s start to reverse that trend! This year, let’s give as much as we can to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® so more workers can carry a witness to those waiting to hear.
Your giving matters! Think your gift to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® won't make a difference? Every penny given to Lottie Moon is used to help support more than 5,000 Southern Baptist missionaries serving overseas. Last year, those missionaries reported 506,019 baptisms and 24,650 new churches. The lost are believing because you give!

SOUTHRIDGE FOCUS
Merry Christmas! God’s richest blessings on you And your family during this season Come listen to The Southridge Worship Choir as they sing at “Living Windows” Downtown (Madison and High Streets) on December 3rd starting at 6 pm, or join us at the Jefferson City Nursing Rehabilitation Center on December 12th starting at 3:30 pm, and I hope you will invite a neighbor or friend to attend our program at the church on December 19th at 6:30 pm See the Puppets/Mime Team as they share the Christ child Story on December 5th at 6:30. We are very thankful for this ministry and the opportunities it gives for our young people to learn the work and energy needed to make each program successful.
Our Children’s Musical is entitled “Back to the Manger” and I could tell you what it’s all about , but if I did that then you might not think you needed to come. We enjoy our children singing for us and reminding us the real reason to celebrate, come hear them on December 12th at 6:30 followed by a cookie/ dessert fellowship.
One highlight for many from Southridge is our Christmas Eve candlelight Service. Since December 24th falls on a weekday (Friday) our time will begin at 6:00 p.m. that night. Hope to see you there.
Christmas can be what you make it. It could just be another day on the calendar. I hope and pray it is not for you. My prayer is that it will be a special time for you to remember how much God loved and loves you.

Looking Ahead… • • • •
December is a wonderful time of year with the coolness of winter, the excitement of Christmas, and the wonderful time spent with families. On Sunday night, December 5th the Puppets will be performing their Christmas program. On Wednesday night, December 15th during youth group time, the student ministry will be going Christmas caroling together to houses of Southridge members. We will not be having our Wednesday night youth group meetings on December 22nd and December 29th due to your Christmas break. Have fun with your families and friends during your break!

In November the Student Ministry went on their second annual Mystery Retreat. This year’s destination was a Christian retreat center called Logan Valley, down in Ellington, Missouri. We had 15 students go this year and had a great time as we enjoyed various activities including: a campfire, filling sand bags for a water slide, devotional, team building elements, rock climbing, and a zip-line to cap it all off with. Those are just some of the highlights from the trip. Thanks for allowing your students to participate and check out the picture above. We also held a late-start pancake breakfast on November 10th. During the month of November during Sunday School and on Wednesday nights we have been talking about and discussing what dating looks like biblically and comparing that to how we actually live our lives. Please continue to ask our students the hard questions and encourage them to follow Biblical principles and standards.
