(HOD) Subject: Invitation for CSI State Student Convention, Gujarat with theme of “Digital India” Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings from School of Computer Studies, Ahmedabad University! We are pleased to organize Computer Society of India (CSI) State Student Convention (SSC), Gujarat with theme of “Digital India” for undergraduate and post graduate students of IT/Computer Science, Engineering and Management streams. The event is scheduled on 4-5 March, 2016 at our campus. Formed in 1965, Computer Society of India (CSI) is the largest and oldest association of IT professionals and users in India. Today, the CSI has 73 chapters all over India, over 500 student branches, and more than 100,000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists, Project Managers, CTO's, academicians and students. AESICS-CSI Student branch is a vibrant branch of Computer Society of India which regularly organizes various technical events like seminars, workshops, training programs and conventions for the learning, knowledge sharing and professional career development of the students in the IT industry. SSC-Gujarat, 2016 is our endeavor to bring together students of Gujarat and outside Gujarat to participate in several technical events and competitions. This Student Convention will provide a platform for young and energetic minds to come together – “compete, collaborate and innovate” to come out with innovative software/mobile app and digital ideas to address real life problems of India. The student convention and its various events will ignite young minds to come out with new digital innovations needed for “Digital India, Start-Up India and Make in India”. We forward herewith the event poster and brochures. We request you to give wide publicity of this event in your Institute and encourage/depute your students to participate in various events.
