Content in this instruction manual may differ from the product, and is subject to change without prior notice. Read these instructions carefully and completely before using this multimedia navigation device. Depending on the country where the vehicle is sold, some features and/or operations described in this instruction manual may not be applicable to this multimedia navigation device. The descriptions in this instruction manual are based on the default settings of the multimedia navigation device. The images and figures used in this instruction manual are intended to facilitate the explanations. Details may deviate.

Safety notes This multimedia navigation device was manufactured according to the state of the art and established safety guidelines. Even so, dangers may occur if you do not observe the safety notes in this instruction manual. In addition, observe the instructions of other devices used in conjunction with this multimedia navigation device. Warning! Do not modify or open the device. This device contains a Class 1 laser that can cause injuries to your eyes. 5

Road safety Observe the following notes about road safety: •

Use your device in such a way that you can always safely control your vehicle. Do not use the setup feature or any other function which could divert your attention from the road. Stop at a suitable location and operate your device while the vehicle is still. Follow the driving recommendations during the route guidance only if you are not violating any traffic regulations! Traffic signs and traffic regulations have always priority over driving recommendations. Always listen at a moderate volume to protect your hearing and to be able to hear acoustic warning signals (e.g. police sirens). Park your vehicle in a safe place and apply the hand brake before watching video, viewing picture or establishing WiFi connection. This multimedia navigation device detects whether your vehicle’s hand brake is engaged or not, and prevents the driver from watching video, viewing picture or using Internet while driving.

Cleaning notes Solvents, cleaning and scouring agents as well as dashboard spray and plastic care products may contain ingredients that will damage the surface of the multimedia navigation device. Use only a dry or slightly moistened cloth for cleaning the device.

Getting started Switching on/off The multimedia navigation device will switch on/off by the ignition switched on/off. If the device is switched on via vehicle ignition, it will display the last play source screen. (( Press the rotary/encoder knob (ON)  to switch to the operating mode.

Clock mode To switch to the clock mode, date and time will be displayed. (( Press the rotary/encoder knob (ON)  while the device is in operation to switch to the clock mode. (( Press the rotary/encoder knob (ON) w again to return to the previous source (operating mode).

Volume Adjusting the volume (( Turn the rotary/encoder knob (VOL)  to change the volume. Muting/unmuting the audio (( To mute the audio, turn the rotary/encoder knob (VOL)  until the volume level reaches “ 0 “. (( To unmute the audio, turn the rotary/encoder knob (VOL)  from volume level “ 0 “ to “ 1 “ and above.

Using the touch screen

Caution! Risk of severe damage to the touch screen! Do not allow the touch screen to come into contact with other electrical devices. Electrostatic discharges can cause the touch screen to malfunction. Do not allow the touch screen to contact water. The touch screen may malfunction in humid conditions or when exposed to water. To avoid damaging the touch screen, do not tap it with anything sharp or do not apply excessive pressure to it with your fingertips.

Finger gestures

Actions Tapping To open an application, to select a menu item, to press an on-screen icon, or to enter a character using the on-screen keyboard, tap (touch) it and lift your finger.

Double-tapping Tap twice quickly with your finger to do double-tapping. Flicking Move your finger across the touch screen, without pausing when you first touch it and lift your finger (so you don’t tap or drag an item instead). • Flick left or right on the Home screen to view other panels. • Flick up or down to scroll through a list. Dragging Tap and hold an item for a moment and then, without lifting your finger, move your finger on the touch screen until you reach the target position. • Drag left or right to move along the drag bar in Media Player. • Drag up or down to move along a scroll bar.

Using the keyboard

Home screen (( Press the HOME button o. The middle panel of Home screen is displayed as default. The Home screen is the starting point to access all of the device’s feature.

Home screen Notes: • The Home screen have 5 panels. To view other panels, tap on the center of the screen, and then drag left or right. • The glowing panel indicator is light up corresponding to your selected panel.

Applications screen (( On the Home screen, tap the icon [ ]. The Applications screen displays the icons for all applications. Flick up or down on the screen to view more applications if available. (( Tap an application icon to open the application. Opening an recently-used applications (( Press and hold the Home button o to display the list of recently-used applications. (( Tap an application icon to open the application. Adding an application icon to Home screen You can add an application icon as a shortcut to access the application via the Home screen. Each panel of Home screen can add up to 4 application icons. 9

(( On the Home screen, flick left or right to select the desired Home screen panel. (( On the Applications screen, tap and hold an application icon, and drag it to the selected Home screen panel. The shortcut icon is displayed on the selected Home screen panel. Notes: • To move a shortcut icon to an empty location within the same Home screen panel, tap and hold the icon, and then drag it to a new location. • To delete an shortcut icon on the Home screen panel, tap and hold the icon, drag it to the small bin icon on the right side of the screen until the icon turns to red color, and then release your finger. • The main applications [ Navigation ], [ Radio ], [ Media ] and [ Bluetooth ] on the Home screen are not able to replaced or changed.

Status bar

Status bar • • •

The Application Button indicates the current source/application with an icon and text description e.g. Radio, USB, Settings. It also act as a RETURN button. The Menu Selector is available for particular source/application to toggle some functions and menu items. The icons of Menu Selector are switched to BLUE color when they are selected/activated.

(( Tap the icon [ ] once or several times until the desired tuner band is displayed. Note: • This multimedia navigation device is designed for operation in different regions with different frequency ranges and station technologies. To set a suitable reception area, see section “Radio options: Area”. u p. 15

Tuning into a station Tuning into a station manually (( Tap the icon [ ] or [ ] once or several times to change the frequency one step at a time. Starting station seek tuning (( Tap the icon [ ] or [ ] for approx. 2 seconds then release. The radio tunes to the next receivable station. 11

Storing stations manually (( Select the desired tuner band and tune to the desired station. (( To store the current station, tap any preset buttons [ 1 ] to [ 6 ] until you hear a beep.

Storing stations automatically (Travelstore) You can automatically search for and store the 6 FM or AM stations, offering the strongest reception in the region in FMT or AMT memory bank. Any previously stored stations are deleted in the process. (( Select the desired tuner band. (( Tap the icon [ ]. The multimedia navigation device starts the automatic station seek tuning. After the storing process is completed, the stored station at preset number [ 1 ] is played.

Calling a stored station (( Select the desired tuner band. (( Tap any preset buttons [ 1 ] to [ 6 ] to call up the stored station. The preset number of your selection is switched to BLUE color.

Scanning stations The scan function scans every receivable station of the current waveband. (( On the Radio screen, tap the icon [ ] to start scanning. During the scan, each receivable station is played for a few seconds. (( Tap the icon [ ] again to continue listen to the station that is currently being received.

RDS Many FM stations broadcast in RDS (Radio Data System) signal in addition to their program that allows additional functions such as Program Service, Alternate Frequency, Traffic Announcement, Regional and Program Type. Note: Some of the RDS functions are only applicable in the country that provide the RDS service. Program Service (PS) Display of the station name. 12

Alternate Frequency (AF) If the AF function is activated, the multimedia navigation device automatically selects the best receivable frequency for the station that is currently set. (( On the Radio screen, tap the icon [ ] to switch the AF function on or off. The icon is switched to BLUE icon indicates AF function is switched on. Traffic Announcement (TA) In the reception area “EUROPE”, an FM station can identify traffic reports. (( Tap the icon [ ] to switch the priority of traffic announcement on or off. The icon is switched to BLUE icon indicates TA function is switched on. If priority for traffic announcement is switched on, a traffic report is automatically switched through, even if the device is currently not in radio mode.

Traffic announcement screen Note: • The announcement screen is automatically closed after the broadcast is finished and you are returned to the previous source. Regional (REG) In the reception area “EUROPE”, some RDS stations divide their programs into regional programs providing different contents at certain times. If the Regional function is activated, the multimedia navigation device changes only to those alternate frequencies of the set station on which the same regional program is being broadcast. (( On the Radio screen, tap the icon [ ] to switch the Regional function on or off. 13

(( The icon is switched to BLUE icon indicates REG function is switched on. Program Type (PTY) In the reception area “EUROPE”, an FM station can transmit its current program type, e.g. Culture, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Sport or Science. Hence, the PTY function allows a targeted search for broadcasts of a certain program type, e.g. for rock or sports broadcasts. Note that PTY is not supported by all stations. If the PTY function is switched on, an FM station can identify emergency announcements in the event of natural disasters or other major calamities. The emergency announcement is automatically switched through, even if the device is currently not in radio mode.

PTY list menu screen (( Browse through the program list by flicking up or down on the screen. (( Tap and select your preferred program type. The program type you selected will be highlighted. (( Tap the Application button on the status bar to close and return to the Radio screen.

Media Player Overview of media player (( On the Home screen, tap the icon [ Media ]. The Media screen is displayed.

Media screen (( Tap the icon [ USB ], [ Disc ] or [ SD Card ] to select an available media source. The selected Media Player screen is displayed and the playback starts automatically. 16

Warning! Do not watch video or view picture while driving. If your vehicle’s hand brake is not engaged and you start the video or picture playback, a pop-up screen with text as below is displayed.

The multimedia navigation device switches to the last audio source. Notes: • See section “Appendix: Supported disc/media type and file format” for further information on supported disc/media type and file format. u p. 49 • If a media source is inserted/connected at any time while the device is on, the corresponding media player screen is displayed. • If a media playback is interrupted/paused, the last position of playback is memorized by the multimedia navigation device. If the media player is started again, playback is resumed from last memorized position. • The multimedia navigation device has to read the data of the inserted disc or connected media device before playback. The duration of the reading depends on the data volume and design of the disc or media device.

Playback sequence of multiple file types This multimedia navigation device can be used to play audio files, video files, movies or pictures from a disc, USB device or SDHC card

Inserting/ejecting a disc

Caution! Risk of severe damage to the disc drive! Do not try to put your hand or fingers in the disc slot. Also never insert foreign objects into the slot. Do not insert disc where adhesive comes out from cellophane tape or a disc label, or disc with marks where cellophane tape or labels were removed. It may be impossible to eject the disc from the slot and cause damage to this multimedia navigation device. This multimedia navigation device is designed for play of discs with diameter 12 cm only. Do not attempt to insert the disc with diameter 8 cm and non-circular contoured disc into the slot, either with or without an adaptor, as it may cause damage to the disc and/ or the drive. Such damage will not be covered by the warranty on this product. Do not insert transparent disc as it may cause difficulties of loading/ejecting the disc and would not be detected by this multimedia navigation device. Do not attempt to insert 2 discs simultaneously. You must not hinder or assist the drive when it automatically draws in/ejects the disc. The manufacturer accept no responsibility for any damage to the drive that may occur as a result of the use of unsuitable disc.

(( Insert the disc with its printed label side up into the disc slot d until you feel a slight resistance. The drive automatically draws in the disc. (( Press the [ ] button f to eject an inserted disc.

Connecting/removing a USB data carrier Danger! Increased risk of injury from connector! 18

In case of an accident, the USB data carrier in the USB port may cause injuries. We recommend the use of USB extension cable for USB port. (( Insert a USB data carrier into the USB port that located below the vehicle dashboard console. (( Remove the USB data carrier after use. Notes: • Please switch off the multimedia navigation device before inserting/removing the USB data carrier to allow the data carrier correctly registered/unregistered. • If error detected on the connected USB data carrier, a notification will pop up.

Inserting/Removing a SDHC card (( Open the connectivity cover r. (( Insert the SDHC card with its labelled side to the left (flattened corner to the top) and its contacts into the card slot u until it clicks into place. (( Remove the SDHC card after use. (( Push on the SDHC card until it disengages and then pull the SDHC card out of the card slot u. Notes: • Please switch off the multimedia navigation device before inserting/removing the SDHC card to allow the data carrier correctly registered/unregistered. • If error detected on the connected SDHC card, a notification “SD card not available” will pop up.

Audio playback This multimedia navigation device can be used to play audio files from DVDs/CDs, USB device or SDHC card. (( Insert/Connect a media source or select the desired media source via the Media screen. The Audio Player screen is displayed, press [ ]and select File/Song to play.

Drag bar

Drag bar •

The drag bar is displayed in Audio Player (not available for audio playback via Bluetooth) and Video Player only. The drag bar indicates the progress of the current audio/video playback. It also shows the actual played time at the front of the bar and the total track/video duration at the end of the bar. You can move forwards or backwards by dragging the bar or tapping on the bar at any point (not available for audio playback via Bluetooth).

Entering Wi-Fi Settings (( The network names and security settings (Open network or Secured with WEP) of detected Wi-Fi networks are displayed in the Wi-Fi networks section. Notes: • When you select an open network, you will automatically be connected to the network.

Bluetooth® If you connect a cell phone with this multimedia navigation device, you can use its integrated microphone as a hands-free system to make and receive phone calls. You can also access the call logs and the phone book of the connected cell phone. If you connect a Bluetooth® device which supports A2DP and AVRCP functions you can play the music via this multimedia navigation device and control the playback.

Starting Bluetooth® mode (( On the Home screen, tap the icon [ Bluetooth ]. The Bluetooth screen is displayed.

Bluetooth screen (( On the Bluetooth screen, tap the icon [ Bluetooth Settings ]. A pop-up screen with Bluetooth settings are displayed.

Bluetooth settings pop-up screen (( To turn on Bluetooth function, tap the icon [ Bluetooth On ]. The icon is switched to GREEN color indicates Bluetooth function is activated. (( To turn off Bluetooth function, tap the icon [ Bluetooth Off ]. 31

Searching and pairing a Bluetooth® device To search and pair a Bluetooth device with this multimedia navigation device, ensure that Bluetooth is switched on in this multimedia navigation device and in your Bluetooth device. Pairing method 1: (( Search for “My Phone” in the list of available Bluetooth devices on your Bluetooth device. (( Select “My Phone”. Check the pin number and tap “Accept” to establish the connection. Pairing method 2: (( On the Bluetooth settings pop-up screen, tap the icon [

].

(( If necessary, tap the icon [ ]. The multimedia navigation device starts searching for the available Bluetooth devices. The display briefly shows “Searching...”. (( The available Bluetooth devices are displayed. Browse through the list by flicking up or down on the screen. (( Select and tap on the name of your desired Bluetooth device. Connecting a Bluetooth® device (( Once the Bluetooth device is paired with this multimedia navigation device, tap the icon [ Connect / Disconnect ] to connect the paired Bluetooth device. As soon as the connection is established, the display briefly shows “Connected”. The connection icon is switched to GREEN color and a Bluetooth symbol is displayed beside the device name indicates the paired Bluetooth device is connected.

Audio playback via Bluetooth® If an audio streaming device is connected with this multimedia navigation device via Bluetooth, you can play the audio files via the multimedia navigation device and control the playback. Navigation The navigation software and map data are stored in Micro SD card. The multimedia navigation device is delivered with the Micro SD card in the card slot. To be able to start using the navigation, the Micro SD card must be inserted in the card slot. The navigation engine or software may be different from regional market. Contact PROTON EDAR for more information. Detailed information about navigation can also be found on the Internet via www.lokatoo.com. (( Open the connectivity cover r. Downloading map data You can download the latest version of the map data from the Internet via www.lokatoo.com by follow the step-by-step instructions provided. Contact Lokatoo service center at 1-800-88-0308 for assistance. Important note: • If the Micro SD card is lost or damaged, the navigation map license associated in the card must be purchase again with a new Micro SD card.

Parking assistant (if equipped) Warning! Always manoeuvre with caution and always use your mirrors! The parking assistant system are for guidance only and are not intended to replace the driver’s visual checks for obstructions when manoeuvring. It may not detect moving objects such as children and animals, until they are dangerously close. You will be able to manoeuvre quickly and easily, even into the most difficult parking space by using the rear view camera and parking aid system with the easy-to-follow guidelines. It also alerts you to low-down obstacles which parking sensors cannot always detect. The rear view camera and parking aid system starts working as soon as you put your vehicle into reverse gear and the multimedia navigation device is switched on.

Rear view camera (( Shift the vehicle gear stick to reverse level. The display of the multimedia navigation device is switched to the screen showing the area behind your car offering you a clear reversing image. Note: • The multimedia navigation device is returned to the previous source if you shift the gear stick to other gear level.

Parking Aid The parking aid system uses ultrasonic sensors fitted on the front and rear bumper, strategically positioned to detect close obstacles within the range from 10cm to 70cm (Front) and 10cm to 120cm (Rear). Parking symbol will be displayed on screen and warning tone to be sounded . The parking aid system consists of reverse parking aid and forward parking aid: • To start reverse parking aid, put your car into reverse gear. • To start forward parking aid, press the “Parking Aid” button on the vehicle dashboard console. The icon [ ] indicates forward parking aid is activated. 52

Wave indicator Once parking aid system is activated, a small parking aid car is displayed on the left side of the screen with the wave indicator.

The wave indicator is filled with different colors according to the distance of the vehicle and the obstacles: • Grey color - no obstacle(s) • Green color - obstacle(s) is farthest away from the vehicle • Red color - obstacle(s) is nearest to the vehicle Warning tones The warning tone beeps from slowly to continuously according to the distance of the vehicle and the obstacles. • Slow beep - obstacle(s) is farthest away from the vehicle • Nonstop and continuously beep - obstacle(s) is nearest to the vehicle Notes: • When forward parking aid is activated, the warning tone can be heard from the front speakers when there is obstacle(s) detected in front of the vehicle. • When reverse parking aid is activated, the warning tone can be heard from the rear speakers when there is obstacle(s) detected at the back of the vehicle.
