Principal’s Weekly Highlight Hello Cougar Parents! This weekly communication is a consolidation of information sent to families. We are excited to share this newsletter with you every Friday to keep you informed of the events of the upcoming week, as well as any important information you may need to know. Welcome to the 2017-18 school year, our 10th anniversary as a California Charter School! Our staff has been working diligently to prepare the facility, curriculum, and adjusting student schedules in anticipation of the arrival of our students. [email protected] for more information. The PTO here at Steele is tasked with supporting and funding the needs of any and all grades, departments, or clubs for its 2200 students. Here are some of what PTO has done in the past: Free PSAT testing for the Junior Class, ASB Disneyland Leadership Class transportation, supporting the Steele Canyon Band to start a much-needed orchestra, helping Mr. Robbin's students to travel to the Medal of Honor Ceremony at the Ronald Reagan Library, Cougar Star Luncheons, Principal’s Honor Roll Celebration, Senior Scholarships, Alumni Association, and the “Every 15 Minutes” program.

PICTURE DAY is Wednesday, August 16th. All freshmen need to get their picture taken for their school id. CURRICULUM NIGHT: Steele Canyon’s open house, is on Thurs, August 17 from 5:40pm – 8:15pm. Come meet the staff! We hope to see you there. FOOTBALL SEASON PASS ON SALE AT THE WEB STORE OR FINANCE OFFICE: The 2017 Cougar Football pass prepays five home games (a savings of $10.00), with the added benefit of going straight to the gate (no waiting in line for tickets). The deadline to purchase from the Web Store is Aug 31st. Passes are picked up on game day (Sept. 1st) at the table in front of the ticket booth. SCHS is not responsible for lost passes. You must bring the pass to each game. Prices: Adult $25, Senior Citizen (60 and better) Children (age 6-13) $10 ANNUAL BUS PASSES: To apply for transportation CLICK HERE to complete the online form. Annual passes and tickets are given to the student when they get on the bus. The Finance Office provides tickets for those that have run out or forgotten their ticket at home for $2 each. Booklets must be purchased thru Grossmont Transportation. The Finance Office is not set up to sell more than 2 tickets per student a day. Why buy an ASB sticker? Free admission to non CIF home games, Discounts to ASB sponsored dances and various local businesses, and Free Athletic patch for Varsity players.Buy yours today at the Finance Office or online at the Web Store.
