If edited, I'd probably give this another shot By Amazon Customer I thought this was a pretty interesting premise with a pretty disappointing outcome. I am not the grammar police. I hate people that are. I understand how hard it is to get everything perfect in a book all by yourself -- and I don't expect that. On the flip side, I expect some basic knowledge about punctuation and grammar to exist. For the most part, the grammar isn't the problem in this book. It's not great, but it's not terrible. The punctuation, however, is terrible. I'm sure you've read multiple books. Look how they punctuate dialogue and follow the format. The punctuation in this book was so bad it pulled me out of the narrative. Edit it, reissue it, and I'll reread it and put up another review. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A fifth grader would be ashamed of this writing. By Avid Reader Any good points about this book are far outweighed by the terrible writing. It needs a good proofreader, editor and English teacher to make this readable. I could not even determine what the writer was trying to say in some of the sentences. I have never seen such atrocious handling of direct quotes in all my reading. There were so many declarative sentences ending with a question
mark; so many misused words. The mistakes were so numerous that it was difficult to concentrate on the story. If all the many mistakes in the grammar, punctuation, etc. were corrected, it could be a very good read. In fact, the only reason I struggled through to the end was to see how it ended.
