Excellent, important work and research By vanessairvin93 This book is transformational in illustrating an indisputable argument for the vital-ness of reading, regardless of genre, "literary-ness" or some other such mainstream qualification for "quality literature" and "quality reading." Meg Sweeney paints an authentic portrait of the reality that it is the act of reading itself, not necessarily what we read, that transforms us from deep within. As a librarian, I can attest that she does a great job calling librarians to task to be honest about our professional mission of promoting lifelong learning, ensuring equitable access and advocating fearlessly for intellectual freedom, for ALL whom we serve. A must read for all educators, for everyone. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Insightful and Real By Joy Insightful and Real.
