Still perfectly usable though. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. The cure to insomnia. By J. Burkhart So far, this has been the worst textbook I have ever been assigned. During the first week of class we were assigned the first three chapters to read. These chapters alone totaled 94 pages filled with paragraphs from the header to the footer. I literally fell asleep 3 times trying to get through the first ten pages. The reviewer who described this book as pedantic and needlessly technical said it best. It seems like every single sentence in every single paragraph on every single page is packed with information to the point that every paragraph has to be reread two or three times just to understand what it is talking about. This makes the already interminable book seem to be 5x
longer. If I didn't need these credit hours I would drop the whole class just because of this textbook, it's that bad. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Dense and Inscrutable By Dr. Peach This is probably the least interesting book you'll ever read. I was required to buy it for medical school. I couldn't make through the first twenty pages awake. The material presented is written in needlessly technical and pedantic language. While it succeeds in offering a theoretical discussion of ethics (especially it's history), the early pages don't do a good job at substantiating them with applicable examples.
