Nicely written and beautifully illustrated By Kerry M My Brother is Autistic is a lovely book that deals with the difficulties siblings often face when they have a brother/sister with Autism. The authors sensitively approaches the topic from both the perspective of the sibling and the child with autism, making this a very useful tool for parents, teachers or psychologists like myself. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Not as informative as I would have hoped By Simone I bought this for my 6 yr old after my 4 yr old was diagnosed. I was hoping that it would help him to
understand what is going on with his brother and maybe with relating to how he may be feeling. I like the concept of this book but I feel like it could have done so much more to talk about autism. Even for a small child it did very letter for helping them learn about autism and how it affect siblings. We did also buy I See Things Differently: A First Look at Autism which was more informative but we are still on the hunt for more and better books 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Like another reviewer mentioned By Kate Elizabeth Definitely "wordy" and something I will have to wait a year or two to give to my 5 year old who's older brother is autistic. Right now she doesn't have the attention span or comprehension to follow along with this book. Like another reviewer mentioned, "being embarrassed" is not something she recognizes as an emotion just yet, she just knows her brother is different and different isn't wrong.
