By Hummyjo Great book for all us wives that are dealing with the horrors our husband's faced while in service...and many still face. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great book for the veteran and the spouse. By Edward D. Allen, MSW As a mental health professional who has worked with veterans, their wives and families, I have recommended this book to the vast majority of my clients and many friends. Easy to read and gets

into why we vets are the waywe are. Both the vet and spouse will ring value in this book. The author is a counselor for the Department of Veterans Affairs who works at a Vet Center and deals with this at risk population all of the time. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Too Late For US But Not For ME By Patricia A. Feather Okay, it's too late for my husband and me. I found him with another woman last Saturday and got this book on the Monday after. At first, I was going to toss it away and then I cracked it open to a page and read a little bit about just the sexual aspects / problems of a Vietnam Vet and it hit me like a lightning bolt. So, I went to the beginning and started reading... someone said that this book is "dated"... it is not. Everything the author says is what is still going on for Vietnam Vet wives today. I never had anyone to talk to about what was going on in our marriage because of his PTSD and finally met a woman who did and still is and she suggested that I look for books on the subject, so I found this one. This is going to be extremely painful for me to read and there will be a lot of sadness because it was just too late... I suffered, along with him, for 10 long years and only ended up hating him and myself. Hopefully, this will take away those feelings because I will finally understand...
