By Hopestar This version of Firestorm left a lot of information out. The original book 'Dresden' written prior to the mid 1960's told the truth without any revision of history or facts. In the original book, one pilot reported that while flying at 5,000 feet on a bombing run he saw, because of the fierce burning of dresden, a freight car shoot past his plane. The freight car had been photographed the day before on a track outside of Dresden. That is how fierce the city burned. Also in the original Book it pointed out that over 50,000 men, women and children were basically cremated alive while huddle in the alleged safety of their bomb shelters. Of course the history revisionist of today do not want people to know these particular facts and therefore refuse to print those facts. In Japan when the Atomic bombs went off, the Japanese were not in their bomb shelters. Why? Because '"what could one USA bomb do? Destroy one or two buildings?" If the Japanese had been in their bomb shelters most would have survived since the Atomic bomb crushed the cities and not incinerated them. Most of the Japanese would have been safe in their bomb shelters. Not so in a Firestorming. In Japan, it was estimated that the A-Bomb woiuldto save over 1,000,000 American lives if the USA had invaded Japan. In Germany, the Firestorm was used to dissuade the German military from continuing the V-2 attacks on London. The allies started to Firestorm Hamburg and one other city and when the Germans stopped the V-2 attacks, the Firestorming of Hamburg in the other German city was halted. The Japan bombings was to demoralize the Japanese, the Firestorming of Germany was to destroy Germany's manufacturing capabilities to continue the war.
