I will put this book on my top 3 all-time! I don't want to give away anything, I want the reader to be as blown away as I was after reading about the ball that was dropped by a corrupt police dept, the media's neglect of botched autopsies, mishandling of evidence, ignoring of very credible witnesses(some who may have been involved in the actual murders of some of the children), The political sweeping-under-the-rug of this case, But the most explosive revelation is the lifestyle's of some of these young brother's and sisters! As other reviewers have noted, once you start reading this book you will not be able to put it down. I've read it several times and still catch something I never saw before. It is chock full of fascinating details about the circus that surrounded the murders especially the ineptitude of the police and politicians. Sadly, both Chet & Jeff passed away a few years ago, I wish they could have lived longer to collaborate on a follow up. 6 of 8 people found the following review helpful. So many unasnwered questions... By D. Donnelly I've been reading about the Atlanta Child/Youth Murders for several years, and finally got my hands on this book. Dettlinger's book is detailed and he seems to ask all the right questions. I'm not usually big on conspiracy theories, but 'The List' made me wonder just what was going on in Atlanta during that time period. Was an innocent man railroaded, in order to bring closure to this case? Were grave errors made in the investigation? Was justice done? What was covered up, and why? I came away with more questions than answers, but Dettlinger certainly gives the reader a lot to think about. And, as far as detail, his is the best book for really delving into the situation.
