The hikes are organized well and the trail descriptions are well done. Directions to the trailhead are clear. One major shortfall - it gives no elevation change for any hike. It adjusts the hike difficulty level and adds "... due to elevation change." Had I known that I would not have bought this guide. 7 of 10 people found the following review helpful. This could've been a nice little booklet for people looking for easy/accessible hikes in the Tucson area. Virtually all of the hikes in here are classic/must-do hikes. The problem is that the information given is not necessarily accurate. Fee information and the dog-friendless is especially inaccurate. For instance, several hikes in here say that dogs are allowed on leash when dogs have not been allowed for many many years. Dog-owners would either be disappointed or need to check with other sources (but then, why buy the guide). Similar problems are found throughout the book. An inaccurate guide is worse than no guide. There are superior Tucson area hiking books out there. Maybe not as cheap as this one, but then you get what you pay for. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful.
