Most helpful customer reviews 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. sighs and shakes head By #AmazonCustomer The story started off somewhat okay if you like the boy meets girl, girl screws boy on their first date even though she knows absolutely nothing about him, then after three months they decide to get married and yet we still know nothing about either of the characters. I mean not a bloody thing. Because all of the good stuff has been left out to get to the plot twist. Needless to say by the time we get to the 'plot twist' the story becomes even more ridiculous and unbelievable. Now I don't know about you but upon hearing about the demise of my brother the day of my wedding, the chances of my following through with said wedding plans--before burying my brother-would have been placed on hold. But since it is part of the 'plot twist' I had no choice but to give it a pass. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the generous use of spelling errors and metaphors. I love metaphors and hyperbole, but the author managed to go a little over board in a story that needed less witty banter and more character development. Personally, I just didn't care about either of the characters because their lack of any personal history is just one of the many reasons why this story failed to entertain me.

The two of them are instantly attracted but she's cautious. 2.5 STARS: The writing needs editing, but I knew that from the blurb. It gets off to a good start with lots of chemistry. Their banter was fun. What annoys me about the story is that the hero is called GI Joe throughout. You don't find out his name until the very end. I know it was on purpose, but as you're reading the story, it keeps his character from gaining any depth. The twist at the end, while different, just didn't come off as believable. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Not worth 99 cents! By Mimi I was so disappointed by this book, well by the 10 pages I read. Editing was nonexistant, and the grammatical errors e.g. "want" should have been "won't" distracted from the story. The use of profanity was a bit much, I am no prude but the frequency of curse words made the female character appear crass and unintelligent.
