One of my favourite m/m reads By Holly's Hot Reads I have a huge love of rock stars in books, and a possibly even bigger love of m/m romances . . . when they're done right. Is BEING SAWYER KNIGHT, done right? HECK YES, it is!! I fell completely, and uncontrollably in love with Sawyer and Jake, and the way the author told their story. There were sexy scenes, but unlike many attempts at m/m romances out there, each sex scene had it's place in the book. It wasn't just page after page of sex. This book has a story to be told, and the author certainly delivers it. Each character in the book was brought to life fantastically, and I couldn't help but love them all Well, all but the bad guys anyway - and I am so, so excited to read the next book where we get to find out more about Ryder. The plot was very typical, nothing really new or original. I felt like I was being told how the characters felt about each other, rather than being shown. So I really lacked that emotional connection to them and what was going on. It was VERY easy to figure out who the "bad guys" were...even way back at the beginning. Some editing is needed - I noticed numerous misspelled words (aside from the differences in spelling from UK vs USA). It wasn't too bad for the price I paid.
