Hi and a very warm welcome to "The FIFA World Cup". A Fascinating Book Containing World Cup Facts, Trivia, Images & Memory Recall Quiz: Suitable for Adults & Children. I'm one of those people who loves to hear about extraordinary facts or trivia about anything. They seem to be one of the few things my memory can actually recall. I'm not sure if it's to do with the shock or the "WoW" factor but for some reason my brain seems to store it for a later date. I've always been a great believer in that whatever the subject, if a good teacher can inspire you and hold your attention, then you'll learn! Now I'm not a teacher but the system I've used in previous publications on Amazon seems to work well, particularly with children. This edition includes a selection of those "WoW" facts combined with some pretty awesome pictures, if I say so myself! At the end there is a short "True or False" quiz to check memory recall and to help cement some of the information included in the book. Don't worry though, it's a bit of fun but at the same time, it helps to check understanding. If you're an expert on this subject then it's unlikely you will find anything new here but if, like me, you enjoy learning unusual facts with interesting pictures then I think you'll love it. Come on - look at that title By Reinstein *Beware of books with long titles!* I gave this warning for another soccer book with the same problem-a long pointless title luring you in and then you discover the title is longer than the book. I think this book is even worse. Come on - look at that title! Now try to find the substance in the book. Geared for kids? Really? Soccer terms are used with no explanations. Hat-tricks mentioned more than once. Do kids know what a "hat-trick" is? Odd pictures. Ancient irrelevant material. Half the book tells you how to use it. Then plenty of space used to promote other material from author. I'm sorry, but this doesn't cut it. The book title nearly promises the world but falls flat. Offer for free - fine, but don't charge people for this. This will only lead to embarrassment for the author when buyers will discover how bad this book is and want their money back. This is Not an amazing book. 5 stars on cover? Nope! Best strategy? Nix! Inside has pictures to get "juices flowing" HUH!? Platini, Baggio, Beckenbauer.. do not make my juices flow!! Again, do kids know who these people are? Great for adults, too? Please...! Back to the drawing board on this one....... 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Poorest quality book I've ever seen By Nobody_Owens This "book" is a complete sham--every other page is completely blank, and the pages that have writing on them only have a tiny paragraph--about 15 words every other page. The photos--I've never seen a book with such poor photos--they are actually pixelated(!), like the author copied some low-resolution photos off the internet and then pasted them in. The quality is absolutely atrocious. I'm a reading teacher and have a master's degree in English, so I've seen thousands of books over the years, and this is the poorest quality book, bar none, that I've seen.
