To a true Redneck,there's always another use for anything. By Jerry Guild Jeff Foxworthy has created his own genre of humor, and after all these years he is still one of the best humorists around. He has that ,seemingly natural,ability of observing that wonderful human condition of the thinking man to be able to look at a somewhat useless object and finding another use for it.In this book,he centers on his favourite characters, the Rednecks;but in this book he shows us that we all have a bit if Redneck in all of us.When I was in the Army,training emphasized improvision and encouraged the thought process of not giving up when the normal item was not available;to put your thinking cap on and find something else to suit the need.Today,when we are inundated with "Stuff" there is a limitless supply of things that can fulfill other needs.Foxworthy sees great humor in this;but on further reflection,he is really teaching us something. If you ever wondered why so many farms and other places had so much "Junk" laying around;it was kept for the simple reason "you never know,it might come in handy some day".The ability to see an alternative use,if only for decoration" has become ingrained in our genes,as a result of the mother of invention spirit handed down from our forbearers. Here are just a couple of things to convince you that Rednecks are thinkers as well as humorous. Pure Redneck;but very enjoyable and people stand next to them have their photos taken.
