Johnstone, in 2006! I enjoy his books the Eagle series, The Mountain Man series (Preacher), and the Last Mountain Man series (Smoke Jensen). Mainly because I love the old West as it was! Two I'm from Colorado and I'm always excited to learn about the history that made the 'Wild West & American Frontier' what it was! Dangerous, Tough, and
Exciting! The Eagle Series does exactly that! From the 1800 - 1840s. Takes a young man (Jamie Ian MacCallister) from age 7 to age 67 and shows us an exciting character and what it took to survive in the South in Texas to the West and Colorado! Anyone, who likes Westerns, History, and Heroes this is a very good book to read (as is the whole series). 'Eye of Eagles' is just the beginning! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. By Tom McMillin As a die hard fan of the Preacher and Smoke Jensen adventures, I purchased the first audiobook in the Jamie Ian MacCallister series with confidence that it would be another great tale and I was not disappointed. Mort Shelby is brilliant as always in his storytelling and the story line is vivid and imaginative. The author throws in a surprise early on that had me grinning from ear to ear and pumping my fists in approval!
