Don't believe warriors can appear and disappear as if they are mythical beings. Parts of the story did mirror another book, but not that closely. I liked the premise of the close bond these sisters have. I didn't feel that connected to these characters. Rogan fell for
Emma far too quickly. He requested Heather to be his bride because she's the pretty one? Then within days of meeting plain Emma he's attracted to her. Emma was a willful I will never listen to you type. Rogan's suppose to be a great warrior, but Emma sneaks out of bed repeatedly and he's unaware she's gone? There was a lot more sex than substance to this one.It doesn't really end it leaves you waiting for book 2 which will leave you waiting for book 3. You will love Emma & Rogan's story By Scottishhighlander What a great book, I just love Emma & Rogan's story as I am sure you will when you read their adventure. You will want to beat a certian someone senseless for making Emma's cry in her early years. But when you find the one who is meant to love you with their whole heart, nothing else matters except worrying about your missing sisters. This book is full of mystery, suspense and highland romance. What a great combination. I can't wait to read about Patience and Heather in the continuing series as soon as they come out and find out more about who the Dark Dragon is. Although I have my suspicions, I won't share them. I will let you come up with your own ideas. 15 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Empty ending but good story line By diamond sales Well I love the way the story started out. It certainly had great potential. I actually enjoyed reading the story and really took my time. I was having fun with the forbidden love and was wondering just what the author was going to do to our hero, Rogan. Unfortunately, I was let down. Without revealing too much I felt the solution was literally handed to Rogan and Emma on a silver patter. Viola all their problems are fixed, then the "I love you" started....in every paragraph. Okay, so I kept reading waiting for the kidnapping or conflict to happen. You know, the one that always comes near the end. Nope, that never happened and all of a sudden I was left feeling empty. Yes empty, because the book ended. There was no wrap up. No ending. It just stopped in basically the middle of a paragraph. I was so disappointed. Will I buy the second book? Most likely if I happen to remember or see it pop up on amazon. This is NOT a stand alone like so many other books that are part of a series. If you are looking for a nice read but want fulfillment at the end, this book won't make the cut. I would give it 4 stars or even 5 if it hadn't just ended and left me feeling slightly confused.
