I have found it surprising in many ways. First off it that I find the writing very clear, to the point and immediately useful. After all english is not his native tongue. Secondly, the author doesn't not seem to be promoting himself with opportunities to upsell expensive courses or webinars. I don't think he even has a website. I can only conclude one thing from these two points. He is promoting me, and my success, and that is my experience. Firstly his perspective on the broad market in many time frames has saved me from entries at the wrong places a few times. My entries for making trades have been spot on. Even though his previous books have focussed on Forex this book has helped me in trading the Russel 2000 futures which is all I trade at the moment. I do have much trading experience in other markets. I will seek to expand to other markets again in confidence in the future in large part due to this book. Also, the book is short to the point with no fluff, no stories anecdotes, only clearly stated points. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. A New Concept of Price Action By Bones Most of the books that I have read on price action focus on things like pennants, flags, wedges, and related topics. This book is different. It focuses on "value areas". I've not heard that term before, but now that I've read the book I will incorporate the concept into my trading. In testing, I find it a very good tool. I would not use it as a stand-alone tool; instead, I'll use it along with candlesticks, volume, trend lines, higher-hies, lower-lows, etc. At keys points in the book, the author suggests that the reader practice the teachings of the previous chapter. One suggestion I have for future editions is to display a chart with the ticker symbol plus the date and time but without the value areas marked. Then the reader could view the chart on his or her software, practice drawing the value areas, then turn the page of the book to see how the author drew the value areas. Solid content By steve williams Although I am not a novice in trading, I read this book after receiving it as a present from a friend who wanted my opinion. After reading it twice and doing some testing I can safely say the following : It is a book that will actually teach you how to trade with price action. There is no fluff. The writing style is to the point, it is an easy read. No problems here. The book is well organized. There are no blank pages or useless information. Although it is only 75 pages long, it will take some time to read and wrap your head around it. It is dense, it provokes thought. About the trading methods : They are explained in detail. The book contains about 50 charts that are of great help.
They apply to forex and other markets as well. The author has a way of explaining each method that compels you to open your trading platform after each chapter. It makes you curious. The price action methods themselves are somewhat innovative. It took me some time to wrap my head around them. There is a logic behind every method that is clearly explained and makes a lot of sense. There is a trading strategy with entry, exit and stop levels that puts to work all that is presented throughout the book. I particularly find very good value in how he explains the control price, the rejection and the timeframes. What I also found very interesting is that he presents a complete thinking process with some of the chart examples. I found that very helpful. I've tested the trading strategy on a demo account and was satisfied with the results so far. All of this is based on sound price action logic. I'm trying to think of something that I did not like in this book but can't. I will amend this review if something comes to mind.
