By Amazon Customer This is not a really "readable" text, because it lists many occurrences of a given verse for an expert to compare, and I'm not in a position to rate this book, for that reason. So it might deserve 5 stars for what it does, but it is not a text for someone just wanting to read Galatians in Greek. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Much needed resource By Kenneth C. Vendler Swanson has provided for the textual critic, both professional and layperson alike a much needed resource. Sometimes the format is a little bit awkward (i.e. when there are more manuscripts to list for a reading than can fit on the line in question, thus introducing the arrow system) but it is still quite accessible to the average reader. I would like to have seen a hardback edition, but that does not detract from the quality and utility of this monumental work. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great Resource By Kelly Carney I do not have the knowledge to write with authority on New Testament texts. I also do not not have access to the texts of the many early manuscripts featured in this book. As a result, I find this volume to be a fascinating and helpful reference laying out the variations of the book of Galatians.
