By Lorraine Joy This series is 10 stars on the steam scale and I appreciate that immensely. It also has the added benefit of having a decent and interesting underlying story that keeps you wanting to turn the pages. HOWEVER, I am one of those readers who HATE being nickle and dimed. I spend an obscene amount of money on my Kindle, that's not the problem. I just don't like spending an obscene amount of money for almost no product. So as much as I might find this series to be hot and intriguing, it's insulting to pay $2.99 for 88 pages and then be asked to do it again (Part 3) and AGAIN (because guess what, there's a part 4 too). 88 pages isn't a novel, it's a big ass brochure. As long as there are actual novels available for equal or less money, I just can't bring myself to pay that much for the exaggerated pamphlet. By Angela ..did the author confuse the heroine's eyes...in book 1 she described herself as brown wavy hair with wide blue eyes yet in book 2 Vaughn says he is staring into her big brown eyes...Yea not gd for those that actually picture (at least I do) a character with the described features. Anyways not a major concern with the story line which is not bad yet I feel like the H is more of a villain. Keely kinda also gets on my nerves (in a acting tough yet she easily yields to his commands). I somehow feel like there is no character development too, especially with Vaughn. He is very secretive and just wants sex all the time and Keely is just as bad. This story had potential for more on the characters as well as the plot IMO. I would give this book a 3.5 and really, it should of been sold as one book instead of three seeing how each book has a total of 88 or so pages. I personally refuse to pay 2.99 for 88 pages so if not by loan I won't be reading the final book. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Good follow up By stormy68 I was so happy to find the second book (only 1 day after I purchased the first one). I probably liked this book more than the first. More insight and knowledge into Vaughn and Keely and what makes each of them who they are. More of Vaughn's dirty talking bossy ways that I love. It does drive me insane how he keeps trying to forget Keely with other women, but I guess that is just Vaughn. I wish Keely would be more determined and a little stronger. I don't care for a heroine that just gives in so easily. All in all, another great book, and I do look forward to the third installment. See all 171 customer reviews...
