The author has been through hell and has come out an inspiration By Julie I find Ron Brunk to be among the most inspirational people I've ever met. Doctors find his journey astounding. His goal is to help others who know there's something wrong, but the medical field can't necessarily pin-point it, find answers/peace. I highly recommend this book for those who are suffering and as a gift idea for someone who has a loved one that is suffering and could use some relief. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. a great Chronically Awesome read By WhatTheJules For those of us that live with mystery or rare or invisible illness (or for people like Ron and me, all of the above), getting suddenly ill or progressively worse and finding no answers, and wrong answers can be frightening and frustrating. Finding someone relatable like Ron is a godsend for anyone at any stage of the fight for control over the mysteries that can take over our lives. Ron is funny and knowledgable and inspiring. We had him as a guest on our Chronic Chronicles podcast to share his experiences, but the full story is here in these pages and shouldn't be missed. Bryant I loved this book. This book could have been written by myself and my own battles with mystery diseases. Clusters of painful, scary intermittent symptoms no one Doctor can ever seem to piece together. This book shows the level of fear and anxiety one faces and the maddening thoughts and self destructive impulses. It is well-written and flecked with humor and real human emotion. I hope
