Pleased, Proud and Excited By Amazon Customer First to review..and I'm super excited and pleased to be a part of JD's newest release. Telling Teddy is Dear Teddy continued. If you have not read the first book, it has been ranked #1 and should not be missed. To JD, I am so proud to walk alongside of him as he continues to journey through his past. Telling Teddy is told in a slightly different voice. But as you read it you will feel closer to the boy as if you are sitting next to him and experiencing his life through his eyes. Perhaps, more real and in greater detail but he speaks with his heart and you will feel what he feels when he draws you into his abusive world. Please take the time to share his life with him. An Unbreakable Spirit By Teresa The story continues. A world filled with opposites. Hope and despair. Loyalty and betrayal. Love and hate. You may say, that everyone's world has these factors - but not like this little boy's. A child who was tormented, terrorized and tortured by those who did not take the time to understand him, support him, or love him. What makes this all the more heartbreaking, is that most of the acts inflicted upon this little boy, were done by those who should've loved him the most... his parents. His life was one of abuse, exploitation, and pain... physically, mentally, and emotionally. As with the #1 ranked prequel to this book, (Dear Teddy: A Journal of a Boy; Volume One), I know this part of his story is bound to help anyone who has experienced such atrocities, to both know and feel they are not alone in the world of abuse. The repercussions of a survivor's past are many. Their journeys are far from over. But with books like this one, one might have a bit of hope that they will someday be a little easier to travel. I applaud this author's courage to continue to tell a story that I know still so adversely affects him today, and is not an easy one to share. Amazing work!! By Nancy A. Baker I started the Teddy journey with book one, "Dear Teddy". That book moved me so much that I felt compelled to write the Author. I am a victim of abuse too. Dear Teddy pulled me in and kept me reading until I finished it. Telling Teddy was no different. I started it and then read it from being to end without stopping. Telling Teddy pulls you in from page one. There were times that I wanted to cry. There were a lot of times that I was really angry. There were times I could relate to what he going through emotionally. Even though it is a book about one child's journey through abuse, there were even moments that I laughed. For me the child in the book pulled me in and I could see everything through his eyes. I could feel his emotions. This comes from the amazing way that he writes from the eyes of the child. I can not wait for the next part in this series. If you are a victim of abuse, know some else that has been abused, or just want to make someone aware of abuse, I highly recommend this book. If you don't understand everything that he went through, it will sure leave you thinking about it. Maybe you will look at the child next door a little closer next time. Great Job!!!!
