Amazing, Eye-opening Read By Angela Travis Being the girlfriend of a USMC Combat Vet, as well as the long-time best friend of a USN Combat Vet, I've been immersed in this mindset for many years. Unfortunately for me, I found I had become complacent when it came to PTSD, TBI, and how they can effect a person once they return to civilian life, and this was blatantly obvious in my interactions with my boyfriend. This book, comprised of the writings from Andrew and others he has reached out to, hit home and affected me in very profound ways. So much so that I found myself reading the material again, as soon as I had finished the first reading, then using sticky notes to make notations. I then turned around and handed the book to my boyfriend and asked that he take the time to read some of the passages within, as I had found them remarkably eye-opening. I'm not sure if he has as of yet, but I'm sure it will touch him even more than it did me when he cracks those covers.

A gift of understanding for warriors and their loved ones By Marty Stahl Although we served in different wars, Andrew writing (and that of others) touched me deeply. I found it helps to understand my experience and unresolved issues. I believe what Andrew has done with this book is a miraculous project. I have recommended it to many veterans who struggle with PTSD, TBI, and other injuries from war. Andrew shows that there are many means through which injured veterans and others can take that will help with their issues. Andrew writes. I know others who paint. I know many who have rescued a dog and that act of "rescue" saves both the animal and the veteran. Thank you Andrew for fighting through your trials, so that you can help others.
