This is a work from her heart - the ups, the downs and the daily flow raises your consciousness of an individual's connection with a higher power. It is more than a feel good book. It is an awakening of the God in each of us. It is a very good and pleasant read. Chris connects with the reader allowing you to become involved in "The Listening Project" thus providing you an opportunity to connect with your inner spirit. Intimate Spiritual Memoir By Kindle Customer When I received this book I was a little worried it would be a sermon of sorts, espousing a Christian perspective that I had long ago given up. Ms. Williams cleared all of that up for me in the second paragraph on page one where she wrote, “Perhaps it is better said that I made contact with my higher Divine Self, but then we get into that whole language barrier thing.” Ah, relief. We do speak the same language after all!
I immersed myself into Ms. Williams memoir, a snippet of her life that begins when she made a deal with God that she named "The Listening Project." A deal that included her willingness to go the distance no matter what, lots of inner divining, openness to receive, and a promise to document the entire process. Ms. Williams’ book is the result. Intimate and authentic, she captures an amazing chain of events that occurred in her life after making this commitment. She shares her emotional trials as she wrestles with “what does all this mean.” Most importantly, she captures the essence of divine promise with eloquent, moving language. I give Ms. Williams a high-five for making a deal with God that she kept. And I’m especially grateful she shared her experience with "The Listening Project" through her beautifully written book. Inspired me to start my own "Listening Project" By susan e busch The Listening Project is a love story. This is a challenging and hopeful book on listening to God in our day to day lives. The book starts out with a project the author concocted with God to learn to listen to God better. Then it takes the reader on a roller coaster of a ride through some painful years of the author's life filled with loss and grief. It concludes with some lesson's learned that God speaks to us all the time if only we will make the effort to listen, and God loves us more than we can imagine. It encouraged me to start my own listening project, becoming aware of the myriad ways that God is trying to speak to me though circumstances, nature, dreams, relationships, and suffering and loss.
