Clear, Concise and Fascinating By John Kaverman Dr. Gogolin does a fantastic job in explaining the intricacies of digital forensic investigations and the psychological impact that investigations can have on the investigator. The contributions of his collaborating writers add merit. A fascinating read. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent Book!!! By DF Grad Student Currently a Digital Forensics graduate student. When I first received this book, I was suprised to see it was only 168 pages. However, it is extremely comprehensive, well written and contains more information in the short, condensed chapters than some of the other well regarded books and study guides that are three times its size. Great book. Succint, to the point, applicable and Dr. Gogolin provides excellent guides and illustrations. If you are studying digital forensics, I highly recommend this book. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good enough for the United States Supreme Court By BitDiddler This book is cited several times in the landmark United State Supreme Court case Riley v.

California, which deals with when police can search cell phones. Go to the Department of Justice website and see for yourself. Dr. Gogolin does an outstanding job of presenting not only the technical aspects of the processes involved with digital forensic investigations, but also (and perhaps most importantly) the psychological impact that actually doing the job can have on the investigator. As I was reading I felt almost as though I were sitting across the table from the author, having a conversation with a valued colleague. The contributions of those with whom Dr. Gogolin collaborated in writing this book bring even more insight from multiple perspectives. Well done!
