So, as soon as it arrived I read it. Cover to cover, it only took me about 45 minutes. Which is how long my last Dr spent with me. It answered a lot of my questions except one. What do you do when the Dr says “no surgery.” And what about the symptoms of headaches that occur with NPH? I plan on contacting the Author directly and asking him these questions myself. All in all, I gave it 5 stars. I thought it was well-written and concise. Amazon delivered it in one day , unbelievable. How quick there shipping is. Outstanding! It is easy to accept a diagnosis of any of these afflictions when someone you care for is starting to behave in a way that you believe is one of the above. After reading this book I will not accept any of the above diagnoses until I've looked into Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. It can be treated with successful results, where the above afflictions cannot.

Rates right up there with The Shunt Book By hydrobrat Not since I read The Shunt Book have I been so excited about a new book on hydrocephalus especially one that is directed towards Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. Dr. Mednick basically uses common, everyday language and words that all can understand. His dictionary, of the medical terms used, is also easy to understand. Dr. Mednick has a wonderful way of explaining the diagnostic tests, surgery, recovery, AND so much more. I've been recommending it to my members, people who contact me (after being diagnosed), and to other hydrocephalus organizations. Thank you Dr. Mednick!!! Job well done!
