Ride the wave-a great trip all the way to the shore! By BG AC Netzl's new book A New Rule is a fast paced powerfully emotional story continuing the story of Ben and Julia from the Casual Rule. Ben and Julia navigate the transition from "casual" relationship to that of a committed relationship filled with all the highs and lows and the intrusion of real life events. Julia's Mom Rose gives Julia great advice about relationships: “Life’s challenges are like the tide, they ebb and flow. You just
have to stay the course.” And she also says ride the wave for both the good and the bad. The story starts so hot and steamy that is had me hooked. ( I wanted to ride that wave !) The love affair between the couple is intense and absolutely swoonworthy. As the stresses of work, family events, and social commitments enter in the story takes a dramatic turn that is both sad and heartbreaking. (The wave that absolutely crashes to the shore and leads to a big wipe out) Ben and Julia learn that they can only be a successful couple if they learn communicate and hence the New Rule. As always AC delivers a very happily ever after. I love Netzl's style of writing. She takes many common events in life and expounds on them in the most hilarious of ways. I think one of my favorite scene's is when Julia is sitting next to Stuart (Ben's brother in law) who is wearing a too short swim suit and well she sees way too much. Without revealing too many spoilers her handling of grief and it's many faces and way families handle is so well done! I love all the support characers-Julia's boss Vivien who is full of good advise disguised as work, Julia's roommate who is a true friend, and of course Julia's great famiy! The only negative thing I can say about the book is I feel there are a few loose ends I would like tied up but since this is Book 2 I can hope there is a book 3 and all my questions will be answered! I read this book is one night-I had to know what happened. So grab a blanket and sit in the park or at the beach and enjoy. By Amazeballs Book Addicts I want to start off by saying that I LOVED this book!!! I really enjoyed book 1, The Casual Rule and if you haven't read that one you need to read it first. Ok so now onto this book, I really love Ben and Julia. There relationship started out as being nothing more than a casual thing but after many ups and downs they are now in a committed relationship. Ben is holy moly hot and a character I guarantee you will fall in love with all over again. This book had my emotions on a rollercoaster and I wouldn't change one thing about it. They face yet a few more trials together and let me tell you the author makes you feel every single thing that these characters do. It really had it all, love, hot sex scenes, and heartbreak, This series will definitely one that i will reread many times over. Great job Ms. Netzel!!! This was a solid 5 AMAZEBALLS stars for me!!
