It's more a history of the RAC scene and the bands involved than it is the skinhead scene. Although there are tons of first person/eyewitness accounts of gigs, everyday life as a skinhead, major fights etc. The history of Skrewdriver year by year is great. After all the endless books about the various different punk scenes that have popped up in the last decade, I was waiting for something about RAC. My only complaint is the last section about the American bands. It's almost an afterthought, only about 55 pages. Other than that, superb layout, great cover, loads of pictures, bands, flyers. Feral House is great, I have never been disappointed with anything they've put out. Thanks for having the balls to publish this. 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. White Power propaganda disguised as historical document. By Damian La Peyre Okay, firstly this book is very comprehensive and has a fair few surprises in who pops up in the white power scene.... Chubby Chris gets a few mentions and Close Shave played a fair few WP shows.....but this book is obviously very sympathetic to the WP cause and i found that quite uncomfortable and although the author does try to attempt to a sence of impartiality they are obviously fans and supporters of NS politics and worship Ian Stuart.....really disappointing. "white warriors...black scum blah blah blah"..... See all 6 customer reviews...
