There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 2nd for students. It is a scheduled teacher in-service day. Individual LifeTouch school pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 3 rd. Preschool pictures will be taken from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the elementary library. Picture envelopes will be sent home with students on Thursday, September 28 th. Extra picture envelopes will be available in the office. The Pinedale Middle School Scholastic Book Fair will run from October 3 rd through October 13th. There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for all ages and grades. You can shop online through October 10th. For more information regarding the Book Fair hours and how to access the online catalog, please go to the Pinedale Middle School Website at www.sub1.org. All purchases will benefit Pinedale Middle School. There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 16th due to Hunting Day. Please check out the Lost and Found when you are in the building. All unclaimed and unmarked items will be given away after the end of the first quarter. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, October 17th & 19th from 3:40 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Scheduled conference letters will be sent home with students on or before Friday, October 6th. Please check the date and time of your conference to make sure it will work for you. If there is a conflict, please contact the office as soon as possible so that we can arrange a time that will work for you.

Again this year, the PTC is generously supporting the school's initiative "Attendance Matters". Students who have perfect attendance each quarter will have their names placed into an end-of-year drawing for some amazing prizes! Last year seven students were awarded laptops and one student received a bike! The PTC has sent home information regarding this year’s exciting prizes. Attending school regularly is essential to students gaining the academic skills they need to succeed.

The next PTC meeting will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 5:15 p.m. in the elementary library. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come. The end of the first quarter will be on Friday, October 27 th. Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, November 3rd.
