v Every effort is made to groom trails as quickly as possible. Even the best-groomed trails can be affected by trail usage and weather conditions. Up to date trail conditions can be received by calling the state forest office (715-757-3965) or on http://www.skinnyski.com/trails/reports.asp search under “Spring Rapids Trail.” v A snowmobile trail does travel on Kirby Lake Lane, in addition to vehicular traffic. Skiing on the road can be dangerous!

v All ski trails are one-way except for the White Cedar and Riverside Trail which are both twoway trails. Always follow the proper direction on one-way trails for your safety, the safety of others, and to maintain the quality of the ski track.

v A candlelight ski is a popular way to spend a winter evening. The state forest holds its annual candlelight ski on the second Saturday in February. Please call the state forest office for more details.

v “You are Here” maps are posted at the intersections. A large map is posted at the trailhead. Trails are marked with their trail name, appropriate difficulty sign and the cross-county skier symbol (blue and white).

v There is a donation box at the trailhead. All donations go directly into trail maintenance and supplies, publications printing, and other costs associated with these trails. Your donation is appreciated.

v All the trails are groomed for skate and diagonal skiers, with the exception of the White Cedar Trail and Kirby Hills Trail which are rolled flat.

v Please report any safety hazards to the forest office.

v Skiers should ski within their own abilities. Always leave space between other skiers and alert others when passing. Control speed on down hills. v Trails range from easy to difficult, some including very steep hills. Please use extreme caution.

v We are interested in your comments and suggestions. Feel free to contact the State Forest office. Trail
