Dear Rev Fathers and Brothers, Prayerful greetings from Chavara Hills, Kakkanad. National Thanksgiving Day was indeed a day of great blessings. Congratulations and sincere gratitude to every CMI member for the prayer, presence and creative involvement and contributions. Despite all our anxieties and apprehensions, the Lord made it possible through the intercession of St. Kuriakose Elias and Euphrasia. All the Provincials were very enthusiastic and generous in evolving and executing the project of Canonization in Rome and National Thanksgiving Day in Kakkanad. The central committee and all other committees worked together as a well coordinated unit under the able leadership of Rev. Fr. Varghese Vithayathil, Vicar General and General Convener. CMI family is obliged to Rev Fr Cletus Plackal, Provincial S.H Province, Kochi for making the Rajagiri Valley campus for the event. We are extremely grateful to Rev. Fr Antony Kariyil, Director, Rajagiri for his personal commitment to plan and execute the details. Thanks to Rev Fathers, Principals, staff and students on Rajagiri campus. Rev Fr Joy Ureth, Provincial Councillor, deserves special gratitude for preparing the spiritual ambience on the campus from the procession of the relic on 14th November till the vigil on 28th evening. Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament and intercessory prayers made the difference. The message is clear. If we rely on God and work together as one family, Greater things will happen. Let us continue Chavara legacy of integration of prayer and action in true family spirit. We have just started the year of the Consecrated and it is an opportunity to deepen our religious call and conviction.
