PhD in Machine Learning applied to Multi-modal Behavioral Analysis. Fully funded PhD @ University of Parma (Italy) Sponsored by Henesis s.r.l. - part of Camlin Group Topic: Research state-of-the-art and beyond on multi-modal behavioral analysis where machine learning enables higher level reasoning between a variety, in type and location, of sensors. Description: This PhD activity fits within the current Henesis' core R&D activity in the field of new-generation Multi-modal Behavioral Analysis systems. In particular the researcher will work in collaboration with Henesis' team focused on creating beyond-state-of-the-art systems that enable new applications of automated behavioral analysis. Strong emphasis will be put on novel deep-learning approaches, machine vision and audio processing. Address/Job Location: University of Parma (main site) / Henesis s.r.l.– Parma, Italy We require: • Master degree in Computer Science or Physics or Applied Mathematics. • Coding experience in modern programming languages (Python, C, C++, Qt4/5 preferred)
• Background in Machine Learning (or Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Vision • Personal interest and/or knowledge of bio-inspired computing and modeling architectures We Offer: • Fully funded PhD (with travel funding) • Dynamic international working environment and opportunity of cooperation with leading experts in different fields • Part of the work in the framework of international research projects
• Support in relocating to Parma (Italy) (some limitations may apply) About us: Henesis, established in 2007 as an R&D intensive SME, spin‐off of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, entered the Camlin Group in July 2014. Henesis conceives and develops intelligent embedded systems for the acquisition and processing of information, operating mainly in the fields on artificial intelligence, wireless sensor networks, machine vision, audio and signal processing. Our intrinsically multimodal systems operate in multiple sectors, such as environmental and structural monitoring, predictive maintenance of train pantographs and industrial plants, advanced embedded visual‐acoustic processing, human‐ machine interfaces, intelligent transportation.
