  Phil is the Chief Innovation Officer for Project 20201 & the Associate Vice Provost at the  University of Texas, Austin. Current work focuses on recognition of learning to  represent the learner's narrative. His interests also include learning analytics and the  design of learning spaces.    He is also a Foundation Honorary Professor at the Institute for Teaching and Learning  Innovation at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.  A lapsed biologist now he's now focused on emerging technologies, the cognitive  interactions with them, & the spaces, physical and virtual wherein they occur.  http://project2021.utexas.edu
