High School Diploma Associate Degree in Turf Management Preferred 3 years Athletic Field Experience Able to lift 50lbs.

Physical Education Field Supervisor REPORTS TO: 235 Days/To Be Determined TERM/SALARY: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                  

Maintain playable surfaces on all athletic fields meeting Gainesville City Schools expectations. Maintain landscaping and grounds around athletic fields (install plants, mulch, fertilize, weeding etc.). Maintain irrigation systems and set watering schedules for irrigation systems following energy guidelines and city regulations. Prepare stadiums for games and other events. Must be able to work flexible hours to prepare fields and stadiums for all events. Must be on site during all events being held at the stadiums. Maintain all equipment keeping it in good and safe working order. Evaluate landscape, equipment, irrigation systems, fences, and buildings and give a written report to supervisor identifying needs and solutions. Clean all restrooms, showers, bleachers, concession stands, and parking lots. Paint interior and exterior of buildings as needed. Maintain all drain lines (rain water and sewage). Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Follow all energy guidelines. Demonstrate precautionary measures to insure a safe working environment. Maintain confidentiality. Work effectively and cooperatively with peers and administration. Handle all duties in a timely and organized manner. Must be willing to work in other areas of maintenance for Gainesville City Schools when needed.
