Physician Education Course
Minimally Invasive Vertebral Therapies The PEC Course program is a focused cadaver lab workshop designed to deliver detailed information on appropriate use of Merit’s technology and the minimally invasive procedures of vertebral augmentation, vertebroplasty and spine tumor ablation, using Merit’s StabiliT® Vertebral Augmentation Systems and the STAR™ Tumor Ablation System. Expert faculty is chosen to present the supporting clinical data and share their tips and tricks.
Who Should Attend Physicians who have prior training in interventional spine procedures during residency, fellowship and/or are routinely performing vertebral augmentation for vertebral compression fractures.
Learning Objectives • Understand the appropriate use of Merit technology – StabiliT® for treatment of VCF – STAR™ Spine Tumor Ablation with Radiofrequency • Understand the clinical data supporting efficacy of the procedures • Understand the appropriate treatment algorithm for patient selection and treatment for VCF and Spine Tumor Ablation • Learn more about referral development programs • Learn from and experience performing the procedures using cadaver models
