Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is the nation’s leading women’s health care provider, educator, and advocate. For nearly 100 years, PPFA has done more than any other organization in the United States to improve women’s health and safety, prevent unintended pregnancies, and advance the right and ability of individuals and families to make informed and responsible choices. Planned Parenthood Global – a subsidiary of Planned Parenthood Federation of America – works to ensure that women, men, and young people in some of the world’s most neglected areas have access to the health care they need to control their bodies and their futures. By partnering with local advocates, medical service providers, and youth leaders and helping to build sustainable networks and organizations, we find innovative ways to deliver critical services and fight for more inclusive laws and policies. Planned Parenthood Global’s Latin America Regional Office is seeking interns for Summer 2016 to collaborate with their diverse team to further these goals. There are three main categories of projects – evaluation, research, and capacity building – although other projects may also be considered.
