We have already implemented a harvester that brings Learning Registry metadata into BrainHoney and makes it searchable and allows teachers to create collections of learning resources for their students as part of a joint project we are working on with Dell. We are excited to share the details of what we have done and get feedback on our implementation. We are also very interested in learning more about how we can push metadata and paradata back to the Learning Registry based on how the learning resources are being used within BrainHoney.

I want to better understand what will be involved in setting up an LR node, interfacing DOD systems with the LR, and inform transition plans for similar systems. GovSpeak™ offers a revolutionary tool to create an interactive, immersive environment delivering meaningful simulated conversations that occur in the real world. This conversation engine enables construction and delivery of rehearsal environments that support performance-based training. As w prepare to extend GovSpeak™ into new content areas, we are interested in learning how we might leverage the Learning Registry to discover performance supporting content while tailoring content delivery through th use of paradata.

Phase I: reliably push and pull metadata and paradata to/from LR for particular resources. (This is what we want to get done at Plugfest.) Phase II. For a particular OERC resource page, represent LR data, if available, as part of that page. Phase III. Depending on the success of LR rebuild the backend of OERC to integrate more diectly with LR, possibly on top of a dedicated LR node.

I have some thoughts about using it to track OER re-use that I'd like to explore (may do so before the plugfest too).
