Abstract not exceeding 250 words typed in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 spacing, should be mailed to the e-mail ID of the Conference Director on or before 14th July 2014. Full paper should be submitted on or before 31st July 2014 by sending the completed registration form along with registration fee after the acceptance of the abstract is intimated. All abstracts would be acknowledged but only accepted abstracts would be specifically mentioned as ‘Accepted’ before 19th July 2014. The author cannot delegate the presentation of his/her paper to another participant. A softcopy and a hard copy of the full paper (not exceeding 5000 words or12pages) should be submitted (specification: A4 size, MS-Word 2003 format, Times New Roman font with heading in font size 14 and the remaining text of size 12 with spacing 1.5 as a single file). The paper should include the title, author’s name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address. The paper should be based on an original research work that has not been published. The selected papers will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality and relevance to the conference. The abstract of all accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Participation(without paper presentation) should be confirmed on or before 31st July 2014 by sending the completed registration form with registration fee. Certificates will be issued only on the second day of the conference during the valedictory ceremony. Duly filled in registration form along with the registration fee ,through Cheque / DD in favour of “Presidency College, Bangalore” payable at Bangalore, should be sent to the address of the Conference Director.

SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE Within the next 10 years, the Higher Education sector in this country will be recognized as major contributor to society's efforts to achieve sustainability through the skills and knowledge that its graduates learn and put into practice and through its own strategies and operations. This is a challenging agenda and there is a strong perception that society is not moving forward fast enough. There is now widespread agreement that sustainable development is important and it is a growing political priority both nationally and internationally.

Higher education institutions can make a substantial, sustained and exemplary contribution to the challenge of sustainable development through teaching and research, as campus managers, as employers and as protagonists in their local communities. The goal of the conference is to deliberate on Strategies & Action Plans for Sustainable Development in the areas of Journalism, Commerce & Management & Computer Applications.
